One
of the goals of Banagas is to actively support the
national interest within a framework of social responsibility.
With over BD 50,000 allocated annually, beneficiaries under
this programme have included the University
of Bahrain, Government and private schools, the Ministry
of Health, the Bahrain
Centre for Studies and Research, community projects, wildlife
protection and sporting events.
Banagas takes part
in industrial shows and exhibitions
such as the Middle
East Oil Show, Petrotech,
and the
Made in Bahrain
exhibition as well as being a firm supporter
of national activities including the National
Day celebrations
in which the Company participates alongside the other companies
in the oil and gas sector.
Funding is also
provided to charity events, the University of Bahrain Student
fund, cultural programmes and local societies. In a linkup with
educational institutions, the Company provides on the job training
to students from
Bahrain University and local schools to help students fulfil
their course requirements. |
