ISO
9000 has become the most important quality standard
in the world because it controls quality and provides the
foundation for continuous improvement. It assists organisations
to achieve a high standard of quality that is demanded by
their customers throughout the world.
The Company's Quality
Management System (QMS) was certified to the ISO 9001:2000
international quality standard in
July 2003, to demonstrate that The Bahrain National Gas Company
(BANAGAS) activities do meet the requirement of the Standard.
This was carried out to inspire the confidence of both customers
and all the other interested parties.
Registration with British
Standards Institution (BSI), the worlds' leading standards
and quality services organisation,
to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard, demonstrates that BANAGAS'
management practices have been assessed by an independent
and impartial body and found to meet the requirements of the
standard. The ISO 9001:2000 quality system requirements assessed
included critical elements such as defining management responsibilities,
establishing and controlling documents and data, training,
process control, corrective and preventive actions, etc.

The
Bahrain National Gas Company (BANAGAS) is committed to providing
quality products and services to its customers and other interested
parties that consistently meet or exceed their agreed and
confirmed requirements. This is achieved through a process
of continual quality improvement throughout the Company.
The
Company is fully committed to the implementation, maintenance
and continual improvement of its Quality Management System
that it believes is the means by which quality objectives
are achieved. These are achieved by attending to every detail
of the business through planning, controlling, reviewing and
improving all our processes.
Recognizing
that the success of the system depends on the team work of
all the employees, the necessary competencies, training and
other resources are provided to meet the aims and objectives
of the Company.
