SUGGESTION
SCHEME
Since the start its of operations, the Company
has had a Suggestion scheme, which concentrates on safety
issues, improves quality and productivity in the workplace
and eliminates waste. Factors that have contributed to the
success of the scheme include full management
support and prompt and effective recognition of employees
participating in the scheme.
PRODUCTIVITY
In order to constantly improve operations, the Company has
an ongoing Productivity Improvement Study Team which has led
to significant savings and improved work practices throughout
the Company.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
The Company has implemented
a continuous improvement strategy with greater employee involvement
and teamwork as its foundation. This has resulted in a greater
sense of responsibility at all levels. Management
has also taken every opportunity to recognise the employees'
role in maintaining and improving the Quality
Management System and in encouraging a Continuous Improvement
Culture throughout the Company.
